International bilateral conventions

According to international bilateral conventions signed by Israel with a number of countries [thereafter - the convention countries], the National Insurance Institute is responsible for insuring the resident of a convention country who is employed in Israel, for all insurance branches included in the relevant convention with this country, and that, in addition to branches to which all foreign workers employed in Israel are already insured.

Most of bilateral conventions invovle, for that purpose, old-age and survivors insurance branches, and some of them also include disability and children insurance branches. As a rule, health insurance is not concerned by bilateral conventions, as mentioned in multilateral conventions.
